Hi friends! it has been some time since I last shared on here. As some of you know life has been crazy the last couple of months. Where to start?… I have been traveling a lot the since August for various reasons. As I write this post I’m aboard a flight returning back from my latest trip to Philly, more to come on that soon.
Early August I flew to California to see my mom with Landon for a week. I was so glad she had the opportunity to see him because she hasn’t seen him since he was a new born. I had a few more trips planned however after a week of being back in Seattle, Landon and I flew back. My mom had taken a turn for the worse from her Stage 4 breast cancer. She had been admitted to the ICU and has been induced into a coma. That was definitely the hardest week of my life. Unfortunately, she never came home and we had to say goodbye to her that week.
Out of respect for her, I never shared her condition publicly till the end. She was diagnosed back in 2018 and it had been a battle that was both long and frustrating. She fought hard and I am proud that she tried her best. I wish it was a battle she won so she can be here to see her only Grandchild grow up. To say the last few weeks has been tough would be an understatement, it definitely doesn’t feel real. There are so many days I spend hoping for her to call me.My mom is the strongest person I know and I know she would want me to stay strong for Landon.
It has been a crazy few weeks, but I am ready to get back to sharing fun stuff with you in the weeks to come. Thank you for being here and your support, words can’t describe how much I appreciate it. Xo!
