Valentine’s Day: At Home

Hi friends! With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, I wanted to share some ideas on how to celebrate at home. Given the current state of the world, many of us can’t go out to eat at a restaurant and that’s really tough. But you can still have such lovely time at home, either making a meal at home with your significant other or ordering your favorite meal.

I am sharing some date night ideas that you can use to celebrate at home below. I shared in a previous post, Brandon and I have never gone out to celebrate on Valentine’s Day. We both love to go out and enjoy a nice meal from time to time of course, but we aren’t fans of very crowded restaurants.

Here are some ideas of what you and your significant other can do to celebrate at home.

This year Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday so it is the perfect opportunity to make some breakfast in bed or have breakfast for dinner. Either way this Heart Shaped Waffle Maker is the perfect electric appliance. Brandon and I both prefer waffles over pancakes so you can imagine how much use we get out of ours. Plus it won’t break the bank or take up a ton of space in your kitchen.

If you are planning a dinner date to celebrate, I came across this Fondue set that would be a great option to kick off the dinner or for dessert. One of my favorite date nights out with Brandon was when we went to the melting pot for dinner and got fondue, being able to recreate it at home would be lovely.

I love a good charcuterie board and truly enjoy putting together one for the holidays. Who doesn’t love cheese? I found this White Marble Board that is great for presenting and serving.

As you can imagine Valentine’s Day at home includes me preparing dinner for Brandon. I always try to come up with a unique menu to try something different. This 5-ingredient Cook Book would be a good resource if you or your significant aren’t the best cooks. It’s also a great resource if you want to have a no fuss meal.

Dinner or any meal is not complete without dessert. Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a must for V-Day and you can pick these ones up from a bakery near you. Better yet the Fondue set can help you make them at home!

I love this Fujifilm Instax camera. Polaroid pictures are back in style and a great option for capturing special memories. We love our camera and in fact used it the night I told Brandon I was pregnant.

I hope this post helps you be creative on how to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home. At the end of the day, the best part is celebrating it with the one you love. Xo!
