One Month with Landon

Hello friends! In case you missed it, I wanted to share with you our baby boy is here! Landon Michael Sullivan was born on May 16th at 1:20am. He weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces and 20.47 inches long. After he arrived there was a little scare, followed by him ending up in the NICU the day after his arrival. But he is doing well now and he is the best!

I honestly can not believe it has been 1 month already since he has been here. He has grown so incredibly fast in that month, he hardly looks like the same baby. We are trying to enjoy every moment of this time. Motherhood has been one of the best things I have experienced. I am truly excited to see Landon grow and learn new things in the weeks and months to come.

I mentioned earlier that we had a bit of a scare and that Landon ended up in the NICU, I will share more about it a little later. The whole experience was scaring, however we learned that not to let anyone make us feel our inexperience means we don’t know what is best. Even though we are new parents and don’t have the experience like others we caught some important things when it came to his health. Follow your gut and be sure to advocate as much as necessary!

It has been so wonderful watching Brandon grow into the role of fatherhood. I love watching him talk to Landon and the bond they have. I can’t wait to see their bond grow in the years to come. Brandon has already mentioned that he wants to be the coach Landon in sports as he grows up.

Aside from all the good parts I will say the hardest part is the lack of sleep he is getting currently, which means we are getting less. The first week with Landon was the easiest as he just slept for 3-4 hours at a time. Since then it has been on and off on how much sleep he gets. Currently, we are at about 30 mins of sleep most of the time. Honestly the roughest moments are in the middle of the night, but I mean it when I say it is all worth it!

Alright, that’s our little life update. Thank you for loving Landon with us over the last month. We are so in love with him and we can’t wait to see how he learns and grows. Xo!
